From May to November, when the sea calms, St Barts is lived from the water. An all-inclusive villa with a boat adds a dimension: Île Fourchue at anchor with the chef aboard, the Colombier turtles at first light when the water is glassy, the champagne cruise as the sun tips over.
We choose the villa near the embarkation and adapt the table to late returns. The boat is not an isolated excursion but a thread of the stay: some days ashore, others at sea, the chef composing to the programme. A 25-km² island is discovered differently when you can round it by water.
