Founder · Memory Designer

Twenty-five years on the island, a craft at the meeting point of three disciplines: spatial design, client experience, and cognitive psychology. It is from that meeting that the Memory Designer concept was born.

I have lived in Saint-Barthélemy for twenty-five years. Long enough to know the island otherwise than by its addresses: I know where the wind comes from by season, at what hour the light falls on which cove, which fisherman brings in what and when. This intimate knowledge is not learned from a guide — it is lived, day after day.

My path is not that of a classic concierge. I trained as an interior architect and spatial designer: I learned to compose places, to think in light, matter, and journey — the way a space makes you feel something before you have even understood it. It is a grammar I now apply to stays.

I also trained in client experience at the highest level — the codes of hospitality excellence, invisible service, the discreet reading of expectations. And, rarer in this profession, in cognitive psychology: the science of how a memory forms, the role of emotion in memory, that peak-end effect which decides what we keep of an experience.

It is this triple culture — space, service, memory — that grounds the way I work. I do not compose a stay as a list of services, but as a curve of emotions: building anticipation, shaping the peak, tending the ending. Conceiving not for the moment alone, but for the trace it will leave. This is what I call being a memory designer.

Every stay we compose carries this signature. A villa chosen as one chooses a setting, a chef whose sourcing tells the island, days written so that something remains — long after departure. It is a demanding craft, and it has been mine for a quarter of a century.

Three disciplines, one craft

Architecture & spatial design

Composing a place, thinking in light and matter, orchestrating a journey. The grammar of space applied to the stay.

Client experience excellence

The codes of high hospitality, invisible service, the reading of unspoken expectations. The art of anticipating rather than responding.

Cognitive psychology

The science of memory: how emotion fixes recall, how a moment is engraved. Designing from the trace an experience will leave.

The signature

This signature takes shape in our collections — and unfolds fully in the Haute Mesure, the stay drawn entirely for you.
